
Don McDonald and Tom Cock first worked together back in 1990. Don was the host of the popular nationally syndicated “Ways and Means Committee” (which became “The Don McDonald Show”) and Tom owned a radio station that carried Don’s show.
Tom hosted the radio program “Sound Investing” for 8 years. The program was heard in multiple markets and was recently named “Best Money Podcast for 2008” by Money Magazine. He also hosted the PBS financial program “Serious Money.” Quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Tom has written for numerous publications, including Horizon Air Magazine. Mr. Cock speaks to several thousand people a year in person, giving about 50 lectures per year.
Host of the popular, nationally syndicated “Don McDonald Show” from 1988 until 2007, Don has been one of the country’s biggest advocates for individual investors. His emphasis on no-load, diversified investing has helped to reshape the investing landscape. Don also wrote and published the “Don McDonald Moneyletter” for 15 years. As a “recovered stockbroker” with one of the country’s largest brokerage firms, he knows first hand about the misleading sales practices employed by much of the financial services industry. Don has been featured in various publications, including Money Magazine and Newsweek and is a frequent guest on television and radio programs, nationwide. Don has also been a professional voice actor and announcer for 25 years.
